Yemen to Export Zinc

The Yemeni Geological Survey and Minerals Wealth Authority has announced the country is to export zinc to the international markets by beginning of next year. The Jabal Salb Company achieved progress in the zinc mine project in Nahm region of Sana'a province, expecting that the mine would be opened by end of this year. The total cost of the project is $ 200 million. The Yemeni-British company was granted a contract of utilization for the zinc based on a law No. 24/2007. Around 100 workers are working with the company and they will be 400 employees in the stage of production, according to the report of the authority.
