EU to Raise Tariffs on Chinese Aluminum Wheels
2010-09-15
The European Union recently announced plans to raise duties on Chinese-made car wheels to 22.3%.
A majority of diplomats from EU member states gave their backing to the duties, which could stay in place until November 2015. They aim to counterbalance what the EU's executive says is illegal price discounting by Chinese exporters.
The tariff is set to replace temporary anti-dumping duties of 20.6% by mid-November.
